Info

9.jpegSome background on the album tracks:

  1. Running On Empty
with the gas guzzler on the cover I want to say “for God’s sake it all has to change” but I don’t want to preach. (I started that track last year when I was very ill and I was clearly running on empty at that time!)
  2. Homeward
I was going to write an album of tracks based on star signs and the way they (probably) shape our lives. It sort of all got wrapped up into this one song.
  3. Flying
Watching hang gliders at Woolacombe and thinking how free and liberating it must be to do that.
  4. One Heart
I like this song because it can work on a personal level or as a statement of hope.
  5. Waiting
It’s too easy to find reasons not to do things
  6. Missing You
I wrote this track when my sister died too young but I think it works for anyone who is missing someone.
  7. Fire & Brimstone
This song was written by Link Wray who died last year. He was a Shawnee American Indian with the rawest sound you ever heard. I have always loved his tracks and this song is quite current don’t you think?
  8. Nobody’s Listening
Is once again about the terrible state of the planet. Is anybody listening?
  9. Spoonful
I started to play guitar learning blues riffs and this is my interpretation of a Willie Dixon classic.
  10. What Goes On?
A Velvet Underground number that I’ve always wanted to cover.
