DOG is a 3 piece rock band with Tony Butler and Colin Wright. We are presently playing some of the songs from the Running On Empty album but we are putting some new material together and hope to have recordings finished soon
I have recently joined Spoonful a 5 piece blues band. We are concentrating on building a set of Howling Wolf, John Lee Hooker, Willie Dixon songs together with a rock bias.

One of the pieces I have produced for the 'Entanglement' dance project is played by cellist Alicia Stolliday and Gus Savy on Sax which accompanies two solo dances by Helen and Clare. It's a tune that's been going round my head for a while and it's great to finally get it recorded. Have a listen to a slice of it here

Thanks to Tim Prescott for putting it together and to Emma for adding the eye candy!
I've started work on some music for a dance piece called 'Entanglement' which is due to be staged in May. It's mainly an electronic score and when I've firmed the sections up I'll post some on the site. They are a new dance company called Yo-Yo Triptych and the piece will be premiered at The Plough in Torrington on Friday May 26th 2006.

I have just been working late on a track for the frustratingly inconsistent but recently rejuvenated Leicester City which is basically a mix of the track ’Waiting’ and the Post Horn Gallop played by Dr Geoff Cloke. The club are known as The Foxes and have always run onto the pitch to the strains of the Post Horn Gallop, originally to a very old record with what sounded like coconut shells (being horses hooves I suppose) and in recent seasons played live by an elderly gentleman dressed as a huntsman standing in the centre circle as the teams emerge.
Started filming a video for the track ‘Running On Empty’ with Tim Prescott. It’s a no budget production but I think will get the idea across. After all we are all running on empty and it’s all about to run out! I’m starting to get some feedback from the album and it’s all been good (so far) ie; “it doesn’t sound like you singing” – “I’ve been playing your album and it’s cool with three ooo’s” – “tracks like Homeward are touching and uplifting”. It’s great to get feedback and know that someone’s listening to your music so please leave me a message in my guestbook.

Well I finally got the album finished! It’s been a long time in the making and work ground to a halt when I became ill last March. However during my convalescence I managed to record the beginnings of Homeward and Running On Empty. Different versions of the tracks ‘One Heart’ and ‘Missing You‘ appeared on the ‘One Heart’ CD which raised a few thousand pounds for North Devon Hospice (thanks to everyone who donated a track and everyone who bought one).
Respect and love to everyone who played on the album Tony, Alan, Hannah, Luke, Dave, Chris, Sophie, Wez and BIG BIG THANKS to Ruth and Emma who have put up with hearing the strains of ‘Waiting’ hammering round the house for a long time now and we’re still talking!
